Founded in 2025, our ministry was born from a simple vision — to walk alongside families, nurturing both their growth and their faith.
At the heart of all we do is the belief that every parent and child is wonderfully made and designed for connection—both with one another and with their Creator. Through compassionate care, gospel-centered teaching, and expert guidance, we seek to equip families to thrive in body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Tania, with our dedicated board share one calling: to serve with love, lead with humility, and point every heart toward the One who made us.
About Dr. Tania Stegen-Hanson, OTD, OTR/L, BCP, C/NDT, CEIM
Dr. Tania Stegen-Hanson is a Board certified pediatric occupational therapist, author, and founder of Hearts and Hands Together. With decades of clinical experience in South Africa and the United States, she specializes in feeding therapy, sensory integration, neurodevelopment, and early intervention.
Dr. Stegen-Hanson earned her occupational therapy degree from the University of the Free State and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She holds advanced certifications in pediatric occupational therapy, neurodevelopmental treatment, infant massage, and sensory integration.
She is the author of Just Take a Bite, a widely respected resource that has helped parents and clinicians better understand feeding and sensory challenges in children.
Driven by her Christian faith and a passion to serve families, Dr. Stegen-Hanson founded Hearts and Hands Together to provide free early intervention classes so every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive.

Our Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors includes Jill Kendrick (Chairperson), Carrie Davis (Treasurer), Lynn Land (Secretary), Alan Gotthardt, and Tania Stegen-Hanson (Executive Director). Guided by a shared love for Jesus Christ and a passion for discipling families in His ways, the Board provides wisdom rooted in Biblical truth and prayer.
